| Uraya came to us when Winnie was already in the age of eight and our B-litter dated back almost three years. Even she had a lot of the character her South African parents had: With a very independent character, she was a dog with a marked hunting instinct. A lively, dominant bitch, who however was guided by us easily. She met other humans friendly and she put up with children patiently. A 66 centimeter high, red wheaten coloured bitch who showed typical and correct breed characteristics in all areas. She inherited her excellent movements from her mother. Uraya was chosen carefully by me for the continuation of our breeding. She was a promising puppy and successful at shows. However I decided not to breed with her, because she showed up symptoms of a chronical disease in the age of two. Seven years she lived with us as a family member and pack leader. She finished her life through cancer bravely in July 2008. We buried her next to her friend Winnie under the old oak.
